"Today's Tiles" Emboss Resist Card Tutorial

Hi Friends! For this month’s project leaders sheet group, I used the “Today’s Tiles” set with the emboss resist technique. While I cut the stamped piece into 1″ x 1″ squares, it would look equally nice with the entire tile image popped onto the card too! So many fun possibilities!

Measurements:

Cinnamon
Cide: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scrap piece for banner
Whisper
White: 4” x 5 ¼” , 4 ¼” x 2 ½” , five pieces 1 ¼” x 1
¼”
Crumb
Cake: 3 ¾” x 5”

Instructions:

Fold
Cinnamon Cider card stock in half to create card base. Adhere 4” x
5 ¼” Whisper White layer on top with Stampin’ Seal.
Place
dot mask on the Crumb Cake card stock and apply Crumb Cake ink
randomly with sponge dauber. Adhere to front of card.
Place
4 ¼” x 2 ½” Whisper White card stock on Stamparatus and
position the solid tile stamp on top. Close the lid to pick up stamp
and ink with Versamark. Stamp onto the Whisper White layer. Remove
card stock and sprinkle with White Emboss Powder, shaking off the
excess and set with heat tool.
Apply
each of the 2020-2022 Ink Colours pads with sponge daubers to
embossed piece (this is the emboss resist technique). Cut out the
tiles into 1” x 1” squares. Adhere one of each In Colour square
to 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” Whisper White cardstock and place on card with
Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp
sentiment with Versamark onto a scrap piece of Cinnamon Cider card
stock. Emboss with white powder. Cut into a ¾” x 2 ½” strip
and cut with Lovely Label Pick a Punch. Adhere to card with Stampin’
Seal.
Mix
70% rubbing alcohol with a few drops of Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint
and shake well. Spritz over card.
To
finish card, place a mini pearl on centre of each tile and a large
rhinestone on the sentiment banner.
