The Serene Stampers Creative Challenge

April 4, 2014 4 Comments

Hi Friends! You may have been wondering why I’ve been missing in action the last few days.  I have a perfectly good explanation…we’re moving!
My husband and I sold our home this past winter and purchased another lovely home in Antigonish, Nova Scotia!  Just like our current house, our new home is over 100 years old so it’s got a LOT of character! It sits atop a hill overlooking our 18 acres – with blueberries! It’s incredibly serene and peaceful and easy to get lost in the rhythm of nature – hubby and I found ourselves going to bed when the sun went down and getting up when the sun came up! LOL  The view from every window is beautiful and I love waking up and watching the birds on the tree branches.  There is also a really sweet building on our property which was once used for a popular pottery business and hubby and I are going to convert it into a guest house! Are you wondering ‘why’ we need a ‘guest house’? Well it’s for our B&B! I am soooo excited that we are going to open our Bed and Breakfast and it gets even better… we will eventually be adding vintage trailers to our property (google “Glamping”) for RETREATS! Whoa!  I want to open the retreats to everything from stamping (of course) and crafts, as well as corporate team building, wellness, yoga, cooking classes, reiki, photographer and writers retreats, you name it. Just ask me how excited I am.  My head just keeps spinning.  We plan to have our B&B open by Summer 2015 and the retreats after that.  I’ll keep you posted.  And I will still be running my Stampin’ Up! business as per ususal.  I’ll never stop that – I LOVE it too much!
Here are a couple of photos to share with you:

So there’s my news in a nutshell!

Let’s get back to stamping!  It’s time to show you my “Serene Stampers” Creative Challenge! This is something I do with the demonstrators in my group and it’s a lot of fun.  I send out samples of product to the ladies in my group who sign up for the challenge, and then they create a card with it!  The featured product for Feb/March was the Spiral Flower Die and the Essentials Wooden Elements:

All the ladies did an amazing job on their cards:

Don’t forget about my Litters n’ Critters Fundraiser – it ends on Monday, April 7th and we need your support to help the dogs! Click HERE for all the details.
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Congrats on your new and very beautiful looking old home. What a dream you have to look forward to. Such fun to plan a B&B and all the good time activities that'll be transpiring! You should keep a "This and That Journal" to keep track of your progress. Good luck to you and your husband as you embark on this lovely journey.
