Sweet Baby Card with “Welcome Easter” Stamp Set

March 19, 2020 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! I know most everyone is staying at home right now but for me, as I’ve always worked from home, it’s business as per usual. I’ve been creating tutorials for all the in-person classes I had scheduled but ultimately cancelled. Tutorials take a LOT of time and work but I’ve decided I’m going to actually create more of them to offer to everyone. Crafting and creating during these tough times will be a Godsend, in my opinion, offering a reprieve from the world news and bringing JOY into our days! That said, I also had hoped to create a new video for you yesterday, but I just wasn’t able to squeeze it into my schedule. This is a top priority for me today, as I want to share more fun on my youtube channel for you. I did, however, make a card for a friend of mine who delivered a beautiful baby boy yesterday! Would you believe that her husband isn’t even allowed to visit her and their baby in the hospital right now? These are crazy times. So I wanted to make sure to send a huge HUG in the mail today, with this card.

I used the “Welcome Easter” stamp set, which is stinkin’ ADORABLE! I rarely purchase stamp sets with characters in them – I don’t know why, because I always enjoy creating with them when I do. I am so glad that I DID get this set though!

I coloured the lamb using my aqua painters and ink pads and popped him on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I added a wee bit of Fine-Tip glue to the eyes and nose, as well as the ribbon around his neck to add some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Got to have a bit of ribbon on a baby card too, don’t you think?

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and added more hearts and then stamped the sentiment. I really enjoyed making this card and I can’t wait to pop it in the mail today.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
