Hi Friends! Today’s card is a spin-off of a card I did years ago that STILL gets “Wows!” from everyone that sees it on my display board. I had originally ‘cased’ this card but it’s been so long I can’t recall where I first got the idea. Nonetheless, I’ve tweaked it a bit but still use “Lovely as a Tree” as the featured stamp set. If you don’t already have this stamp set, I encourage you to order it right away! I promise you will love and use these stamps for years to come.
I decided to call this technique “Spotlight Embossing”, since I’ve combined the Spotlight Technique with Heat Embossing as well as Emboss Resist. Here’s a video to show you how easy it is to do:

Ahhh, thanks so much Deb – glad you liked this card! How did yours turn out? Did you use Lovely as a Tree or a different stamp set? I think it would be a fun technique to try with other stamps and punches too.
