Sneak Peek: Merry Mice Woodland Card

Hi Friends! Thank you for your recent comments – it thrills me to bits and pieces to know that I have so many wonderful regular blog readers, and I really appreciate YOU!  Soooo, I have had a lot on the go lately, hence the reason I haven’t posted for over a week. But today I hope to make up for that with a super cute card featuring the new “Merry Mice” stamp set, coming out in the Holiday Catalogue (available tomorrow!).

 I think these cards turned out really sweet.
This is the first card I made with “Merry Mice”. I used Lovely as a Tree stamp on top of the inked Woodland Embossing Folder prior to running it through the Big Shot. Just a heads up about inking this particular folder. There are quite a few ways you can do it (look on pinterest), such as using a brayer, using ink pads directly onto the folder (make sure they’re not too wet), or using a sponge, like I did in the video. So far I prefer using the sponge to add ink to the Woodland Folder. But I plan to play with it some more and experiment with techniques, so stand by for that….

This is the card I demonstrated in my video. It’s hard to see, but the belly and face are puffed out a bit, like I did to the pillows in my earlier post with the “Sitting Here” stamp set. Soooo fun. The white mica flakes really add a neat element to the card as well – the photos don’t do the cards justice. This set is really fun to play with; today’s cards are the first ones I’ve made with it.  I can’t wait to create more projects with “Merry Mice”!

    Awesome card. I thought the mice set was cute but wasn't sure what kind of card to make with it. I really like the stamping technique with the green trees and the sponging on the embossing folder. I would have never thought of that. Thanks for sharing your creations. Your very creative.
