Hi Friends! This past weekend was my Spring 2018 retreat at the Smith Rock Chalets in Scotsburn, Nova Scotia. What a fabulous time! My only complaint was it went too fast! Just goes to show that time really does fly when you’re having FUN! And fun was the name of the game from start to finish! Our retreat began at 3pm on Friday, with a delicious buffet supper at 5pm and a Brusho technique class in the evening. Saturday morning started off with a delicious breakfast and then our “Waterfall Album” class, which also included guests who signed up for the one day retreat option. Raffles, prize patrol, BOGO tables, door prizes and treats were also scattered throughout the day. Lunch was a delicious tomato and cheddar soup, wraps and sandwiches and desserts. There were also gluten free options with a gorgeous vegetable soup & sandwich and brownies. The rest of Saturday afternoon was a free-for-all so that everyone could work on whatever projects they brought with them; scrapbooking, stamping and card making, etc. A few of the ladies brought projects that made our jaws drop and they graciously showed us how to make circular albums, mini accordion albums and more! It was an afternoon filled with inspiration as well as lots of laughs and enjoying each other’s company. Supper on Saturday was another scrumptious buffet supper and then more crafting (and vino and chatting) into the wee hours! We enjoyed another delightful breakfast on Sunday morning before it was time for all of us to pack up and hit the road home! Lots of great memories were made this weekend and we were all sad for it to end. Here’s a little video I put together of the retreat to share with you:
Gift containers made with the Apron Builder Framelits Dies |
For these treat containers, I used Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper, Eastern Beauty and All Things Thanks stamp sets, and punches. |
Candles that I created using the Painted Glass and Enjoy Life stamp sets. The sentiment on the tags is from Dragonfly Dreams. |
Newly formed friendships are one of the best things about retreats! |
I even had the lovely Christina from Smith Rock Chalets stamping….
….she loved making her cards!
The grounds and the views at Smith Rock Chalets are spectacular!
The chalets, tucked in the trees.
There is everything you need in these rooms, including wine glasses and
a corkscrew. The massive jet tub in the bathroom will be on my agenda
next visit for sure!
Pull out sofa beds are in every room as well. We had a lovely balcony and there are fire pits and BBQ’s outside to enjoy too!
and reservations will be first come, first served, as space is limited. If you’d like to join us or want more information just pop me an email at serenestamper@gmail.com.
