Hi Friends! I am really excited to share today’s project with you. Ever since I started creating these mini journals a couple of months ago I’ve been HOOKED and can’t stop making them. Part of the fun is not just because they’re so easy and quick to make, but because of all the different ways you can decorate them. Plus, you can adjust the journals to any size you want.
books, brag books, photo albums, journalling, mementos, recipes, you
name it. These would make fabulous little gifts to give away –
especially with a matching greeting card.
You can also use different paper on the inside, including card stock, vellum, Designer Series Paper, etc and you can cut them into different sizes too, to add a bit of variety.
I am currently using some of my Project Life by Stampin’ Up! cards and
accessories on the inside pages too. These journals were also part of a
class I held recently and one of the participants had a great
suggestion to add ribbon inside to act as a bookmark! So give this
project a try – I know you’ll have a ton of fun with it.
front cover was pretty straightforward and you can decorate yours
however you wish.
Supplies (including front of journal, though not demonstrated in video):
I recently made a journal and coordinating card to give to my Mom for her birthday, shown above. I know she’ll fill it with photos and bits and pieces that bring her joy. It’s really awesome that we can personalize our creations for the special people in our life. I had SO MUCH FUN making this gift. I just put on my music, poured a cup of coffee and played! I was so pleased with how my projects turned out:
I made this journal a little bit differently, by adding a button on the front to close the journal with a bit of bakers twine and a paper bead. The background was done by inking and misting my stamps onto Whisper White card stock. Then I crumpled the paper, let it dry, sponged on some Crumb Cake and did a little gold embossing.
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!
