What do you say to a pretty brown twill?

September 14, 2010 Leave a Comment

No, there is no such thing as a ’twill’ bird. Unless, of course, it’s made out of fabric. Or, if you make up your own type of bird and call it a ’twill’. Enter project ‘Pretty Brown Twill’:

I love how this turned out! I made it to have on display at the fair this week, to show that Stampin’ Up! products are great not just for cards and scrapbooks, but for so many other creative projects as well. I’ve had this jumbo clothespeg (or is it a clothespin? You decide) forever and tonight was the night to alter it. I used some scraps of SU DSP, made the flower out of the packing paper that comes with our SU orders(using the scallop circle punch), the bird and leaves from the 2-step Bird punch, the words were cut out some scraps of the new Newsprint DSP (luv it!) and a bit of the new crochet trim. The whole thing was then sprayed lightly with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch. Oh! I can’t forget about that gorgeous PEARL! My new favourite bling!

This will be great to hold recipes, notes, photos, etc. Now I’m hooked on these and must make MORE! Guess what? I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more……STAMPING!!!!! (Maybe I need to get a ‘cowbell’ stamp!!!)
(then again, it’s 12:30am. Maybe I should make a cuppa cocoa and hit the hay….*wink*)

SNL Cowbell – my fav! Cracks me up every time!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
