Do you find that the leftovers from a delicious meal are sometimes even better the second time around? I know I do and that’s pretty much how I feel about the technique I’m about to share with you! I have demonstrated today’s card at my monthly stamp clubs, but I haven’t done a video of this technique until today. If you are like me and have a hard time throwing out any bit of scrap/left over pieces of designer series paper and card stock, then you’re going to LOVE this technique. Come to think of it, I don’t even really have a proper name for it. Hmmmm. Let’s call it “Scraps Background”. There. Nothing Fancy. But you’ll get the point! So grab your strips of leftover papers, some glue and some cardstock for the base, and give this “Scraps Background” a whirl – it’s addicting and only limited to your imagination!
Whisper White Card Base: 11″ x 4 1/4″ (folded in half makes a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4″ card)
Whisper White Layer: 3 3/4″ x 5″
Basic Black Layer: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Scrap pieces of whisper white and basic black card stock for sentiment with Layering Squares and Sweet and Sassy Framelits.

It’s been so hot here in Nova Scotia the last couple of days – FINALLY! I love it and it sure beats all the rain we’ve been having. Summer is indeed finally here (Spring was an odd one this year, that’s for sure). So on that note, I’m grabbing my hounds and heading outdoors to enjoy some fresh air and Mother Nature!
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!

Hi Tina,
We quilters do that with our left over material to make blocks. I like that you brought that to card making. Have a great day.
