Hi Friends! I have two videos to share with you today! Both videos are part of a new series I’ve titled “Time Out with Tina”. In this video series, you’ll see more of me (and not just my hands lol), chit-chatting and sharing topics such as:
- Simple stamping and how to make quick and easy cards.
- How to use supplies you already have but forgotten how to use.
- How to get the most out of your Stampin’ Up! products.
- Ideas for organizing your stamp/craft space.
- Stamping tips, tricks and lots of fun techniques.
There will even be videos in this series that will feature random topics like my favourite recipes, tours of special places and fun hobbies and projects I’m currently digging (courtesy Pinterest, of course!). I hope you’ll enjoy this new video series. I’m also open to comments and suggestions on what YOU would like to see too, so be sure to let me know! Just send me an email at serenestamper@gmail.com OR leave a comment on my youtube channel – I love hearing from you!
Okie doke. Let’s chat a bit about my first video in this series. I chose to focus on the topic of feeling ‘too overwhelmed’ and thus NOT creating, crafting or stamping. Before you know it your paper supplies and stamps have been sitting in a pile, un-used and collecting DUST! Yikes! I know this happens to a lot of people and to myself too! The trick I found that made a difference for me was as simple as tidying up my craft space. Actually, ‘simple’ may not be the best ‘descriptive’ word, as it can take quite a bit of time and thinking on how to organize and clean one’s craft room! Once started though, it’s so worth it to have all your supplies in their spots and accessible. Soon you’ll be ready to whip out your stamp sets, dies and other treasures and start CREATING and have FUN again! Here are my tips on how I organize my craft space and to keep from feeling ‘overwhelmed’ with all my ‘stuff’ (which I actually USE and play with)…
Obviously, the stamps shown on my shelf aren’t Stampin’ Up! – these are stamps I’ve had for years and years, long before Stampin’ Up! even arrived in Canada. Most are from my “Holly Pond Hill” collection. Love them. In fact, I made a cute baby card this weekend using one of my HPH stamps and the new “Happiness Blooms” Memories & More pack:
I love how I am able to incorporate retired Stampin’ Up! products that I own with my current, new items. I think it’s so important to USE what you have and to make the most of your craft supply investment. Anything I don’t use is either sold at my Buy One, Get One free events or given away.
Alrighty – moving on to today’s second video!
My card idea was based on ‘simple stamping’, using just inks, stamps and paper. I did incorporate a punch, some ribbon and rhinestones – but it’s still quite a simple card layout and I love it! I filmed the video early this morning, as you may be able to tell from the look of me, all pale like. But hey, my mantra for 2019 is “Keeping it REAL!”. I actually demonstrate TWO cards in this video, one using “Wood Words” and the other with “Lovely as a Tree” and “Part of My Story” stamp sets….
