Hi Friends! I hope that my fellow Canadians have been enjoying our Canada Day long weekend! I took a breather from packing up my house (as I mentioned in an earlier post, I’m in the middle of moving) and have had a lovely weekend. The fireworks in town were awesome and the weather has been sunny and perfect for the local festivities. I managed to dig through my boxes for stamps and supplies I needed to make a special birthday card for my boyfriend’s daughter, who turned 19. I had a lot of fun making her card, which featured the “Number of Years” stamp set and coordinating “Large Numbers Framelits”.
To make the card I first stamped the numbers using Memento Black ink, and then the words. I then added the flowers and leaves with ink pads and markers. I should also mention that I cased the card layout from Kristina Werner, who did a similar card using different stamps. Isn’t it great how we can see a card and completely change it up just from seeing other people’s layouts? There is SO MUCH inspiration out there. So back to the card; once my stamping was done I cut out the numbers using the “Larger Numbers Framelits Dies” using some silver glimmer paper and raised the numbers using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
