Mystery Stamping Hour Card Tutorial

Hi Friends! Today I held my Mystery Stamping Hour, as I do every Friday, and the card was a simple layout that I LOVE! Here is my card, which features the “Pampered Pets” stamp set & coordinating “Pets Dies” (FYI – I don’t like those two words together…..just sayin’!).

Isn’t this card just the cutest?! I used the new Host Reward “Pattern Party” Designer Series Paper (this is the BEST host reward IMHO!) and I added Coastal Cabana ink with a Blending Brush.

The dog was coloured using Stampin’ Blends and I added a heart embellishment (long retired) that I coloured with my Real Red Stampin’ Blend Marker. Texture on cards is always a win-win in my books, so I ran the Old Olive card stock layer through the Bark 3D embossing folder . “Bark” – get it? A puuurrrrfect folder for the doggie stamps! LOL

As soon as I saw Joanne’s card I knew it was a perfect design for my Mystery Stamping Hour! Here is the card tutorial for you to enjoy:

“Get Back on Your Feet” Tutorial

Measurements:
· Basic White: 5 ½ x 8 1/2” (score and fold at 4 1/4”); 2 3/8 x 3 ¼”, 2 ¼ x 3 1/8” (2)
· Pattern Party DSP: 4 ¾ x 1 ½”, 4 ½ x 1 ¼”
· Granny Apple Green: 4” x 5 ¼”

Instructions:

Fold 5 ½ x 8 1/2” Basic White card stock in half to create a card base.
Glue Granny Apple Green card stock to the front of the card.
Adhere the larger Designer Series Paper strip to the left side of the card and glue the smaller piece
over top, slightly overlapping.
Lightly sponge Balmy Blue ink onto the smallest Whisper White Cardstock.
Using Momento Ink, stamp turtle onto the sponged piece and the other small whisper
white. Color one with Stampin’ Blends, cut out, and layer onto the sponged piece with
Stampin’Dimensionals.
Stamp the greeting onto the lower right corner of Granny Apple Green.
