Ink Drip Technique Cardmaking Tutorial

October 25, 2025 Leave a Comment

Hi friends! I’ve got another great video to share with you today, and yet another technique inspired by the fabulous Andy Skinner. If you recall, my last video was the Stamp on Paint Technique — and I’m still blown away by all the kind comments on that one, so thank you! 😊

Well, today I’m back with another Andy-inspired gem — the Ink Drip Technique — and oh my goodness… this one is SO FUN. It’s beautifully unpredictable, organic, dramatic, and the results are different every single time. If you love loose, artsy, painterly techniques, then I promise you are going to enjoy this one!

So let me just tell you… once I started playing with this technique, I didn’t make one card… or two… or even five. I made over FIFTEEN cards because I simply could NOT stop! That’s how ridiculously addictive and FUN this technique is! 😂

The first time I filmed it, the video ended up over two hours long because I just kept going — drip, dry, stamp, repeat! I finally said to myself, “OK Tina, pull it together!” So I decided to create a full class (more on that below!) and refilm a shorter video for you, where I made FOUR more cards. Oh. My. Goodness. This technique is just too awesome.

In today’s video, you also saw a little peek at several extra cards I created using this same technique. Well… I’ll be honest — I got completely HOOKED on the Ink Drip Technique and I just couldn’t stop creating! 😂 Because I had so many ideas, I decided to put everything together into one complete step-by-step resource for YOU.

If you’d like to keep playing with this technique alongside me, I’ve created a full Ink Drip Technique Class, where we’ll dive even deeper with more tips, variations, layouts, inspiration, and creative ideas you didn’t see in the video.

On that note, my friends, I’m off to spend the evening with my hubby and a good movie. He’s been just a wee bit neglected while I’ve been hiding out in my craft room, making these cards, filming videos, and putting this class together. 😂 I secretly think he doesn’t mind one bit though — when I’m in full crafting mode, he gets the remote all to himself and can watch whatever he wants on TV! LOL!

Until next time, HAPPY STAMPING and big hugs!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
