“In the Moment” Card Tutorial

December 31, 2021 Leave a Comment

The new “In the Moment” stamp set, which will be available January 4th, is one of my favourite new stamp sets in our upcoming Mini Catalogue! I hope you enjoy today’s tutorial!

Supplies:

  • Stamp/Bundle: In the Moment (English) [157987]
  • Ink: Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Pad [153118], Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad [149165], Bronze & Ivory Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack [154922], Real Red Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack [154899]
  • Paper: Heart & Home 12″ X 12″ (30.5 X 30.5 Cm) Designer Series Paper [157928], Basic White 8 1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock [159276], Misty Moonlight 8-1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock [153081]
  • Misc: Stitched So Sweetly Dies [151690], White 3/8” (1 Cm) Glittered Organdy Ribbon [156408], Heart & Home Doilies [157956], Classic Mate Dots [158146]

Measurements:

  • Misty Moonlight CS: 4 ¼ x 11”; 3 ¼ x 4 ¼”;
  • Basic White: 4 x 5 ¼”; 3 ¼ x 4 ¼”;
  • DSP: (3) 1 5/8 x 3 ¾”;

Instructions:

  1. Fold Misty Moonlight Cardstock in half.
  2. Adhere 3 strips of the DSP to the basic white CS. Adhere to the card front.
  3. Cut misty moonlight doily in half, adhere to the left and right side of the card front.
  4. Take 2 pieces of the ribbon (about 4” each). Fold in half and adhere to the left and right sides of the card aligning in in the middle.
  5. Use the largest die from Stitched so Sweetly die set to die cut a basic white CS.
  6. Stamp an image on the right side of the die cut label and greeting in top left corner in basic grey ink.
  7. Use a q-tip for a quick coloring. Lightly pick up a color from misty moonlight ink pad, rub it first over scratch piece of paper (to avoid harsh lines), then color a hat and a dress. Add more ink as needed. If you like more precise coloring – use blends.
  8. Color “arms” and a wine glass with blends.
  9. Adhere colored image to the misty moonlight card stock. Add with dimensionals to the center of the card.
  10. Add 3 dots in bottom left corner of the stitched label.

HAPPY NEW YEAR & HAPPY STAMPING!
