Hi Friends! This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit, “Hugs from Shelli” is ahhhhmmmaazzzing! I just love it! The card designs and stamp set are fabulous, however, I felt like being a bit of rebel and doing something a little bit different! I actually cut up a couple of patterned cards to use the design as card layers. Here are the supply list and details for this card:

Fold
8 1/2” x 5 1/2” Early Espresso card stock in half to create card
base. -
Cut
Crumb Cake card stock 4” x 5” and ruffle edges with finger tip. -
From
kit, cut Pool Party card base in half. Tear bottom edge of patterned
piece and glue the torn bit behind the Crumb Cake layer. Ruffle edge
of Pool Party patterned card stock and glue to front card. -
Ink
sentiment with Early Espresso and stamp on lower left side of Crumb
Cake card stock. -
From
the kit, cut newsprint pattern card in half and then tear the
patterned piece in half again. Save one of the pieces for another
card or project. Stamp birds with Early Espresso onto the newsprint
pattern. Colour birds with Petal Pink ink pad and blender pen. Add
splatter stamp image with Tranquil Tide ink pad. Rufffle edges with
finger tip and glue to card. -
Cut
3 1/2” x 3/4” strip of Tranquil Tide card stock with
Decorative Ribbon Punch. Crumple slightly and tuck under stamped
bird piece, glueing into place. -
To
create paper flower: cut one circle each from Pool Party card stock
(1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch
& 1/2″ Circle Punch). Sponge edges of each circle with
Early Espresso ink. Lightly mist circle with water and crumple. Open
up slighty and set aside to dry. Once circle are dry stack them on
top of each other, gluing together. Adhere to front of card. Place
pearl in centre. -
Glue
a piece of Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon to card, as shown on sample. -
Make
a bow with ribbon and twine from twine from kit and glue on top of
the Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon. -
Lightly
spritz card with Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint (mix a few drops of
paint with 70% rubbing alcohol in a bottle).
