Hi Friends! It’s a gorgeous, sunshiny day here in Nova Scotia. Spring, I think, has FINALLY made her arrival. Thank goodness – I’m just itchin’ to get out in the yard and spend time in the garden. I know I’ve got some time to wait yet, but at least I can start planning which veggies to plant and new flower beds to create! I’ve recently come across some photos from a few years ago of my flowers and I’m so glad I saved the seeds from my hollyhocks (one of my very favourite flowers) and other plants:

Here is today’s card share for you, using the Dragonfly Dreams:


Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets –Suite Sentiments Clear
    142971’ wood 142968; Watercolor Wash clear 139538, wood 138704
  • Card Stock – Whisper White 100730; Basic
    Black 121045; Cajun Craze 119684; Garden Green 102584
  • Stamp Pads – Wild Wasabi 126959; Daffodil
    Delight 126944; Pumpkin Pie 126945; Stazon 101406; Crumb Cake 126975
  • Misc. – Embossing folder Brick Wall 138288; Botanical
    Builder Framelits 140625; Detailed Dragonfly 142749; Project Life
    Journaling Pen 135304; White Chalk Marker 132133; Sponge Dauber 133773
         
Measurements: 
  • Basic Black 11 x 4¼
    score at 5½; 3½ x 3¼
  • Cajun Craze 5¼ x 4
  • Whisper white 3½ x 3¼
  • Garden Green scrap        
         
Instructions:
1.    
Using
Crumb Cake ink stamp the Watercolor Wash into Cajun Craze card stock
2.    
Emboss
with the Wall Brick folder
3.    
Using
the Chalk Marker trace each brick
4.    
Stamp
the greeting onto the left-hand side using Stazon ink
5.    
Garden
Green card stock cutout the leaves and adhere into the brick wall
6.    
Adhere
the Cajun craze card stock into basic black card front
7.    
Basic
black card stock 3½ x 3¼ cutout the detail Dragonfly
8.    
Whisper
White card stock cutout full dragonfly sponge randomly Daffodil Delight,
Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi
9.    
Adhere
the detail dragonfly into the sponged one then adhere into card front (brick
wall)

    Beautiful card using the brick. I love it. Hey, I used to live in Coldbrook, beside Kentville. After moving to Ontario 20 years ago, I'm making it back to NS, PEI and NB. I manage to buy tickets to go on an Oak Island tour (tickets sold out in 15 minutes). We are so excited. If things work out, we are eloping at the Keltic Lodge in August. (I'm now living on the US border in Sarnia, Ontario, three hours south of Toronto).
