Hi Everyone! Happy Good Friday! Today is lovely and sunshiny and I made the most of it, out it my yard, because ‘apparently’ SNOW is on it’s way! Can you believe it? 5-10cm of snow is in the forecast for this weekend. Uck. So today my sweet husband and I pruned some of our trees and hedges and I also cleaned up my flowers beds. This is what my flower bed looks like now:
You can see why I’m so excited to to see my flowers coming up! Despite the snow we’re supposed to get, it truly does feel like spring and it just makes you feel GOOD.
And here it is, Easter weekend. Yesterday I made four batches of Hot Cross Buns. I love making these and they are really, really, REALLY yummy. Warmed up with a bit of butter and a fresh cup of tea or coffee …. it’s a moment, lemme tell ya. A real HAPPY moment! I’ve added the recipe for you – click the recipe tab at the top of the page. I shared my buns (I sez PARDON?) with some of my friends, because (a) that’s just what you and (b) I’d get fat eating them all. Other than baking my traditional Hot Cross Buns, I have no plans for Easter. And because it’s just the two of us (both our families live outside of New Brunswick), Easter is way more low key. I didn’t even decorate this year – I usually decorate our home for EVERY holiday. Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to the weekend, hangin’ out with Prince Charming and putzin’ around the house. There’s also some crafting projects I’ve been itching to start so who knows, maybe I’ll actually DO them (due to my addiction to Pinterest, I’ve added about 3.5 million new projects to my ‘to do’ list).
I made a video for you that I think you’ll enjoy. It’s not my original idea – I totally cased it from fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Tami White. For the video, I put a bit of my own spin on it, adding a sky and clouds. Super easy technique. And I have to tell ya, I’ve been demonstrating this card at all my recent workshops and clubs and the gals have been LOVING it. I hope you do too! And this is perfect if you haven’t made your Easter cards yet because it’s mega fast to put together.
Enjoy the weekend and HAPPY EASTER!
