Girl’s Night Out Card Class

May 10, 2017 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends!  I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I posted. Yikes. I’ve had lots on the go – renovating two bedrooms (painting and new floors), working behind the scenes on my Stampin’ Up! business, a Girl’s Night Out private card class, team meeting on the weekend, class at the local activity centre, etc. So, you can see I’ve been a busy little bee. Oh, and I broke my toe too. That was fun (not). So I’m grateful that despite the rain, I can wear my flip flops (winter boots have been put away!).

I just have to tell you a bit about my Girl’s Night Out card class I held this past weekend. Oh my gosh – it was soooo much fun! My hostess, Lorraine, is relatively new to stamping and wanted to get her friends together for an evening of card making. She invited 14 people and 13 showed up – wowsers! None had stamped before either, so this stamping thing was quite new to them. Two of Lorraine’s friends thought they were coming over to PLAY cards (ie: poker) so they were quite surprised to learn they were going to be hand stamping some greeting cards. They quickly proclaimed that they are NOT crafty. You know what? Along with the other ladies, those two gals LOVED making their cards! I was so pleased (and relieved hahah). It was fun to meet so many wonderful women who live in my area too and I can’t wait to see them all again – especially since they want to make MORE cards!

Here are the cards we made:

Everyone loved how easy it was to make their cards – and they were ‘wowed’ with the gold heat embossing and watercolor pencils. We had such a great time. If you and your friends would like to have a private card class of your own, contact me at serenestamper@gmail.com

If you haven’t had a chance to see what’s retiring from the current Stampin’ Up! catalogues, click HERE for all the information. Items are while supplies last and already products have sold out and are now discontinued!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
