“Girl’s Day” Stamping & Lunch

I decided I wanted to host a “Girl’s Day” get together with my friends this past weekend, for lunch and stamping. After being ‘cooped up’ indoors most of the winter, I needed some ‘girl time’ – and what FUN we had! 

All the cards are ready and pre-cut, for my friends to stamp and assemble!

I made a lunch for everyone with homemade rolls, baked ham, cheese, some of my canned pickles, and a crockpot of beans. I’ll share the bean recipe (which is always a hit) with you  – just click on the recipe tab at the top of this page. For dessert I served meringue shells filled with cheesecake filling and topped with strawberries. Tea, coffee and fruit-infused water and Banana-Date Walnut Loaf was also on the table for anyone to help themselves. I think you can tell I love cooking as much as I love stamping! I pulled out my china (Royal Albert “Lavender Rose”) and set everything up real nice. Then I realized I don’t have a proper coffee carafe – must get one. I used my fancy-schpancy Stanley Thermos for the coffee instead! LOL

Everyone enjoyed the meal and loved making their cards too!  

 

My friends also learned the ‘masking’ technique, stamping the trees behind the truck.
