Hi Friends! Yesterday I packaged up a little gift to pop in the mail for some friends of mine. I had a jar each of my homemade Blackcurrant Jam and Salsa that of course, I had to ‘jazz’ up a bit. While this wasn’t a Christmas gift (it is a ‘just because/surprise’ gift) I wanted to use the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. The colour coordination of our Stampin’ Up products really pulled everything together so nicely!
Having the jars decorated with a bit of paper and ribbon is so much nicer than just plain ones!
I simply wrapped a piece of the DSP around the bigger jar and use my 2 1/4″ Circle Punch and Circle dies to cut the DSP for the lids. The “Label Me Pretty” stamp set and coordinating “Pretty Label Punch” are ideal for decorating gifts from the kitchen! I used my markers to write the contents of each jar on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, which I cut with the “Classic Label” punch, and glued on top of the lids. The gold “Metallic-Edge Vanilla” ribbon was the perfect finishing touch.
For the card, I simply cut a piece of the DSP, glued it to the front of the Early Espresso base, added a strip of Garden Green card stock and stamped the sentiment from the “Country Home” set. I purposely didn’t place the strip of paper or sentiment on the centre of the card, because I didn’t want to hide those lovely horses on the DSP. A couple of rhinestones added a bit of shazam to the card – one can never underestimate the power of those sparkly gems!
With the holiday season fast approaching, using our Stampin’ Up products to decorate home-made treats makes such a difference, and it adds a little extra touch of LOVE to our gifts too!
