Foxy Friends Baby Cards

December 20, 2018 2 Comments

Hi Friends! Last night I held my monthly All Occasion Card Class and as per request from one of my stampers, we made baby theme cards. I actually don’t have any baby/children stamp sets at the moment, so I decided to use the adorable “Foxy Friends” stamp set and coordinating punch.

Foxy Friends #141549

Foxy Builder Punch #141470

My friends at last night’s class had never heard of or seen “punch art” before so I couldn’t wait to show them another fun use of our punches. Also, 4H is very big in our area so I decided to create a cute little cow for our cards.
  • The punch art was cased from Sandrine, which you can see here and the rest of the card was a layout I’ve used before.
  • Granny Apple Green and Powder Pink card stock were the main colours
  • I used some of our “Toil & Trouble” Designer Series Paper (pssst…this paper is on SALE right now!)
  • “Itty Bitty Greetings” stamp set was used for our sentiment, cut with the Classic Label Punch.
  • The Hardwood background stamp was used on the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch cut out.

These are the pieces you’ll need to cut with the Fox Builder Punch to create a little cow:
Black marker was used to create the ‘spots’ and it’s face. I also used a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the head to the body.

Amanda, with her sweet punch art card.
This morning I made two more cards, using the extra supplies from last night’s class. Instead of a birthday card I used the “Sweet Baby” sentiment from “Itty Bitty Greetings” and instead of the Hardwood background stamp set I used the “Barn Door”.
Since I had the “Barn Door” stamp set out,
I decided to change up the design to make this card:
The second card we made last night featured two techniques;
the eclipse technique and the masking technique:
If the “Eclipse” technique is new to you, you can see my video for it here. Instead of using the foam pieces behind the letters (as I did in the video), we used our Foam Adhesive Strips.
My card classes are my ‘social’ time, where I not only teach, but I also get to enjoy some ‘girl time’ with friends and stamp and play!
Here is the third card we made, cased & tweaked from Cristina Raak:

Is this card caaaa-UTE or WHAT?
We have some new stamps coming out in next month that will be awesome for this card layout! So you’ll be seeing an updated version of this card soon!
Debbie, with her adorable card!
The “Miss You” sentiment and grass images are from the “Enjoy Life” stamp set.

We had so much FUN making our cards last night….
…as I think you can tell by the state of this table! LOL
With the busyness of the holiday season, I can’t think of a nicer way to relax and unwind than stamping with friends!
I also made my favourite cake to share with the gals last night – they LOVED it as much as I do! I’ve been making this cake for over 20 years and it never fails impress. I’m happy to share the recipe with you – just click here. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you were inspired by today’s project and that you’ll visit again soon!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
