This is the card I made for a swap I participated in at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Salt Lake City earlier this month. I used the adorable “Feathery Friends” stamp set (Host Rewards) with the super popular “Eclipse Technique”. This technique was around years ago and boy oh boy, has it ever come back in a BIG WAY. Everyone is loving it. I made 50 of these cards, which really didn’t take too long to make and I truly enjoyed every minute of it!
In the video where I made the above sample, I used Shimmery White card stock with Black Archival ink. It was the archival ink that made the Stampin’ Blends bleed NOT the Shimmery White card stock! Regardless, I’m going to pretend that now the little bird as that ‘soft fluffy’ look, rather than redo the video! Haha
Stampin’ Blends on Shimmery White card stock with Black Archival Ink (I should have used the Black Memento Ink, which would have prevented the alcohol inks from bleeding).
Stampin’ Blends on Whisper White card stock with Black Memento ink (big difference).
This card was really fun to make and I hope you’ll give the Eclipse Technique a try!
