I am super excited to share a technique with you that I’ve recently discovered. It’s called the ‘Faux Barn Wood (or Shiplap) Technique’ and boy oh boy, is it ever FUN! The possibilities of what you can do with this are endless!

The barn wood/shiplap look is super popular and I’ve been seeing home decor pieces EVERYWHERE with this. While I made cards using this technique, you could easily tuck your stamped pieces into frames or even use canvas instead of paper! I hope you enjoy today’s video demonstration and give the “Barn Wood Technique” a try!

THIS card is my favourite out of all of today’s cards that I’ve shared with you. Not a surprise, as it’s completely stepped up! This card will be going to my Dad and his wife for Christmas this year. If you don’t already have the “Christmas Season Bundle” my friends, you may wanna get it – it’s fan-freakin’-tastic and mighty beautiful! I just LOVE how the stamps/die look against the barn wood background!

The “Merry Christmas” sentiment is from the “Evergreen Elegance” stamp set. The die cuts were leftover pieces from the front of the card so I decided to glue them to the inside!

Today is the LAST DAY to sign up for this month’s card class, featuring the “Eden’s Garden Bundle”!
You’ll have a fun card class shipped right to your door where you will make 8 cards, two each of four different designs, featuring the “EDEN’S GARDEN” bundle (stamps/dies not included in kit – but you can substitute or add on the stamp set if desired).
- These beautiful cards are easy to assemble and they’re perfect for every occasion, with the beautiful new products from the “Eden’s Garden Collection” from Stampin’ Up!
- In your card kit you will get at least $20 of Stampin’ Up! products to make your cards plus LOTS leftover for you to use on other craft projects and cards!
