Hi Friends! Today’s technique is a fun one that features any type of die cut, or punch, to create a beautiful background for your cards and projects.
This technique creates the effect of a shadow and depending on the cardstock you use you will get quite a variety of results!
I used the Regal Reindeer set and coordinating dies on the above card, along with holographic paper – it turned out so well! As a side note, our holographic paper is on backorder and due back in stock approx. January 15th. The “Purple Fine Shimmer Gems” that I used on this card are new and will be available Jan 4/2024 in our upcoming Mini Catalogue!
I filmed the process of making this card for you, and I also show some more cards that I made using the same technique:
Product ListI used the Beary Cute Punch on this card and popped one of the bears on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Product ListSo pretty and so sparkly!
Product ListHere’s a card with a bit of sneak peek for you, as I used new products coming out in our Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration next month! I fussy cut the birds from the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (which will be a free gift option, with a min. $60 purchase during SAB). This is one of my most FAVORITE DSP packs EVERRR!!!! The sentiment is from a new stamp set in our Jan-April 2024 mini catalogue, called Perennial Postage (available starting January 4/24). I cut the leaves using the gorgeous Aspen Dies in both white card stock and Garden Green card stock.
Product ListI LOVE this card! Once I stamped the whale in black I then stamped on top with versamark and embossing in clear. After I fussy cut the orca and put it on the card I added some clear wink of stella.
Product ListTake care and HAPPY STAMPING!
