Country Wood Ephemera Card

August 13, 2024 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! I’m excited to share this month’s “Leader’s Project Sheet Group” card tutorial featuring our Mix & Match Ephemera packs —a product I have to admit, I’m loving way more than I thought I would! There’s something so satisfying about layering all those beautiful pieces together, and this card is a perfect example of that.

For this design, I paired the Country Wood and Flowering Zinnia designer series papers to create a rustic yet romantic base. The warm, earthy tones of the wood grain and the soft, floral patterns complement each other so beautifully. It truly sets the stage for the ephemera to shine.

Now, let’s talk about the ephemera! Oh my goodness – I had so much fun adding these pieces to the card. Some were adhered with glue, while others were popped up with dimensionals to add depth and interest. I even cut and flagged a few pieces to create custom accents. Watching this card come together was a joy, especially as each layer added more texture and visual appeal.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Pecan Pie: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2
  • Country Wood Designer Series Paper: 4 ¼” x 5 ½”
  • Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper: 2 ¼” x 5 ½”
  • Basic White: 4” x 5 ¼”

IINSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fold Pecan Pie card stock in half to create card base.
  2. Glue Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper onto Country Wood Designer Series Paper.
  3. Place a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive across DSP, folding edges onto back. Peel off backing and add ribbon.
  4. Glue DSP layers to card front.
  5. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue to adhere ephemera pieces to card.
  6. Make a ribbon bow and place onto card with Mini Glue Dots.
  7. Glue Basic White card stock inside card. Add ephemera to decorate as desired.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
