Hi Friends! I’ve been busy cleaning and rearranging my craft space – what a big job that is! The fact that the room had 1970’s shag carpet that I decided to rip out also made the job a big one! Let me just tell you, shag carpet is not a good thing. Especially in a craft room. Especially when you drop a small photopolymer stamp or die. Good luck finding that…. I’m actually sad to say some of my stamp sets and dies are missing pieces – lost in the abyss of the carpet. I suspect said pieces have long been sucked up in the vacuum, as I hadn’t realized they’d fallen on the floor until I went to use them again. While not something I’m happy about, life is too short to dwell on such things. The good news is, my studio now has just the cement floor, soon to freshened up with a coat of paint, and a pretty area rug. So not only will it be easier to keep clean, I’ll also be able to see any bits and bobs that land on the floor during my stamping frenzies hahah! In the process of rearranging, I’ve come across some cards I made this past fall that I hadn’t posted on my blog, like this one:
I hadn’t really given the Jar of Love stamp set much of a play, so one day I decided to give it a go. Well I must say, I had such a great time making this card!!!! First I inked up the Tin Tile embossing folder with Versamark and ran it through the Big Shot with a strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Then I sprinkled on some White Embossing Powder and set it with the heat tool. The tag was made using scrap pieces of Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive card stock, which I glued to Whisper White card stock, trimmed and cut with the Triple Banner and Scalloped Tag Topper punches. The rest is pretty self-explanatory, just stamped and die cut pieces, layered with glue and dimensionals. I love the “You are the happy to my day” sentiment – it’s from the “Country Home” stamp set. This is one of those cards that is hard to give away, I love it so much. LOL However, I am going to use as a birthday card for my BFF next month (I hope she doesn’t see this post!).
