Canadian Demonstrator Council Seminars

May 27, 2019 1 Comment

Hi Friends! As some of you may know, I am one of seven demonstrators who were chosen last year to be a part of the newly formed “Canadian Demonstrator Council”, created by Stampin’ Up!. Each of our markets has its own council (in the USA, UK, Netherlands, Japan, etc). To be a part of our council in Canada is a huge honour and I am thrilled and humbled to be in this group! Members of our Canadian Demo Council are Zahar Premji, Alicja Krysiak, Tamara Bertram, Emilie Poncelet, Raelene Lee, Rebecca Wheeler and myself.

Together with Dale Hampshire (our amazing leader and manager) and the other fabulous council members, we’ve been working hard on creating seminars for demonstrators across Canada to help them grow their business. This month we held seminars in Toronto, Montreal and Moncton. This fall we will be holding seminars in Western Canada. It’s been awesome to come together at these events with demonstrators to share four hours packed full of information. This past weekend was the last our Eastern Canada seminars, which was held in Moncton, New Brunswick. Here are some photos:

 Dale, emceeing the seminar!
Some of the demonstrators participated in card swaps too!
One of the best things about Stampin’ Up! is the new friends you make, like Diane!
I also asked a few demonstrators if they’d be willing to share business presentations during the Moncton seminar. They not only agreed, but they were all absolutely fabulous and very inspiring! My friends and downline members, Kathy Beyea (shown in above photo) and Shelley Marshall, as well as Tracy Elsom, Christina Alward and Kevin Etsey each shared their stories and business tips with us!

My friends and fellow demonstrators, Christine Alward and Kevin Etsey! Both their presentations were AWESOME!
Kevin’s presentation on how he runs his Stampin’ Up! business was inspiring to say the least! He shared lots of great ideas and how he started his business by thinking outside of the box with his Paper Pumpkin clubs!
I also presented during the seminars. I shared about my journey as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator over the past 17 years, which included moving and then re-starting my business four times! I hope my story and experience inspires others to never give up!
I was especially excited about the Moncton seminar because I knew I’d be seeing some of my “Serene Stampers” team there too! I couldn’t wait to see these wonderful friends of mine, whom I truly love and cherish! My team – and the friendships amongst us – is one of the very best parts about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!!!
It was sooooo good to see all my friends in Moncton!!! I’ve missed seeing their beautiful, smiling faces!
A few of us ended the day by enjoying supper together! From the bottom left: Karen McKinley, Eveyln Wood, Moi, Carrie Marcelin (from our Calgary office), Christine Alward, Stephanie Burgoyne, Shelley Marshall, Dale, Lorene Johnson, Kevin Etsey, Tracy Elsom, Kathy Beyea, Shallon Vickers and Ann Frizzell.
Lovely ladies, Ann Frizzell and Wendy Soward (also members of my Serene Stampers group). Did I mention how much I LOVE my team? I’ll admit, seeing all my friends this weekend made me teary more than a few times. As many of them either live in New Brunswick or a distance away from me here in Nova Scotia, I don’t get to see them often and I’ve MISSED them! Truly, the friendships I have with the women from my team means the world to me.
I also attended and presented at our Toronto seminars earlier this month, both of which were wonderful and successful events:
Brian Pilling (from our home office in Salt Lake City, Utah) and Carrie (from our Calgary office) were also at our Toronto seminar! Love these two people!
Emilie Poncelet and Rebecca Wheeler, two of our demonstrator council members – look at those smiles! These two ladies are so sweet and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know them through our council.
My beautiful friend and council member, Zahra Premji. Zahra’s presentation was amazing – I love how we all learn from each other, no matter how long we’ve been a demonstrator!

The lovely Tamara Bertram, whose presentation in Toronto was also absolutely fabulous and we all loved her stories and business tips! I am so grateful the council brought us together – she is such an inspiration to me.

To say that Stampin’ Up! has made a difference in my life is a huge understatement! Being a part of our Canadian Demonstrator Council has been just a fabulous experience for me and I am looking forward to upcoming events and opportunities on our agenda. Our intent and purpose are to help make a difference for ALL demonstrators across this great country of ours.

The opportunities that our Stampin’ Up! business brings us is rather amazing, speaking from experience, and it’s available to everyone. I’m thrilled that I’m able to have this opportunity with our council!
Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Sounds like you've got quite an extended family, and that's great!!

I can't even begin to imagine starting up a business four times. That's quite a feat. Congratulations.

Also a big congratulations for being asked to join the SU Team. I would have loved to been a fly on the wall at your seminars.
