MARCH 2013 – Best of Flowers Stamp Set
APRIL 2013 – Best of Butterflies Stamp Set
Just a little heads up ~ the images in these sets are SMALLER than they were when they originally came out. So if you’re expecting the Upsy Daisy and Hydrangea (Best of Flowers) to be the same size as they were, they’re not. Much smaller. Which is pretty cool, actually, because it’s a whole new way to play with them.
I’m smitten with the Rose image in the ‘Best of Flowers’ ~ I don’t know which set it originally came from, but I just love it! It is probably one of the most romantic stamps I own. For today’s post I created four very different cards using this stamp, along with card supplies left over from recent classes. I had such a nice time, sipping my tea and stamping today. I hope you enjoy the cards I came up with!
This is a super easy and fast ‘one-layer’ card, just using Whisper White card stock. I stamped using Stazon and coloured with my markers. The sentiment is part of the “From my Heart” stamp set. |
The base of this card was left over from one of my card classes and I used it‘s colours (More Mustard and Bravo Burgandy) for my inspiration. The Whisper White card stock was already embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Folder. Again, I stamped using Stazon and my markers for the rose, I also added Crystal Effects on the rose. The background stamp is from French Foliage and the ‘Friends’ sentiment is from the “Tiny Tags” stamp set with the coordinating Jewellery Tag Punch. The button is from the “Basic Designer Buttons” from the Spring Catalogue. Would you believe this is the first time I used the new Tea Lace Paper Doilies? I’ve decided I love them. 🙂 I sponged one with More Mustard ink and layered it on top of the plain white one. I just made a bow with the White Bakers Twine to finish it all off. |
Here’s a close up with the Crystal Effects – I love the ‘wet’ look of this! |
See – now I’m hooked on those Tea Lace Doilies! LOL Simple card. The card base is Rose Red, embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder. I used my 2 1/2″ circle punch and coloured the rose using my blender pen and ink pads. The ‘Thanks’ is from “Lovely Little Labels” stamp set and a rhinestone for a wee bit o’bling! |
This card is my favourite ~ I was pretty happy with how it turned out. The card base is Early Espresso, with Very Vanilla card stock that was stamped with the Parlor Prints background stamp, using Early Espresso ink. Then I used the Labels Collection Framelits with Pretty in Pink Card stock and the centre piece of Very Vanilla card stock. The bottom bit was more Pretty in Pink card stock edged with my Scallop Trim Border punch and a piece of Early Espresso card stock embossed with the Square Lattice Folder. The sentiment is from the “Cherish Friendship” stamp set and I used Pink Pirouette 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and Very Vanilla Seam Binding for the bow. The “Designer Build a Brad” was the final touch! |
