Hi Friends! There are only 35 days until Christmas. Can you believe that? Wowsa. That means we need to get our Christmas cards made, signed and delivered before the big day because December 25th will be here before we know it. If you’re like me, you probably like to have everything ready for the holidays EARLY so that you can enjoy time spent with friends and family (instead of rushing and leaving things until the last minute). Christmas card-making is so much FUN and I know that many of you have already started. Some of you may want to start making your cards but perhaps you’re not sure where to begin when it comes to the designs and layouts. I’m here to help!
For the next seven days, I’ll be sharing Christmas card designs, with a video demonstration for each one. Some cards will feature techniques, using different products, layouts perfect for mass producing and some fun folds too. Whether you’re new to stamping or if you have been stamping for years, I hope this card series will give you lots of ideas and inspiration.
Today’s cards feature the BEAUTIFUL “Perched in a Tree” stamp set. This set also comes within a bundle with coordinating Aspen Tree dies (which are amazing) – but I’m just using the stamps on these cards.
In my video demonstration, I’m focusing on different styles of colouring, using water color pencils, ink pads, markers, blender pens and water painters. I also show how to use our Blending Brushes and some heat embossing too.
I also wanted to show how you can step up this card design using some ribbon and embellishments, as well as our snow puff paint (which is just the coolest). I hope you enjoy today’s video!
Product ListTomorrow I’ll be sharing Card #2 in my Christmas series, and it will be featuring masking paper and some super fun ways to use it in your Christmas card designs!
Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!
