Hi Friends! This past Friday night I decided to have a PLAY NIGHT in my stamp studio. With all the gloomy news in the world right now, I think stamping and crafting is a great way to escape and ENJOY some creativity. I decided a yummy treat was also in order, so I made a scrumptious Lemon Loaf, poured a cup of tea, pulled out LOTS of supplies and FILMED the process of my playtime.
I created an ATC card (artist trading card) for a swap I’m participating in – my first ever ATC card, I might add. Holey, did I ever have FUN!!!! I knew I wanted to use my Pigment Sprinkles, stencils and embossing paste to make a mixed media background for my ATC card.
I worked on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Whisper White card stock which meant that I had enough left over to make a card and a 6″ x 8″ scrapbook page too. I spent the day yesterday editing and uploading the video for you – I hope you enjoy it!
For my card I used the Merry Christmas Dies to cut the “Happy” from Gold Foil and Basic Black card stocks. The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin set.
Here’s my 6″ x 8″ scrapbook page:
I’m quite pleased with how this scrapbook page turned out. The stamps I used for “Spring” and “2019”, as well as the sentiment, are from my stash of retired stamps. To create the ‘envelope’ I folded a 3″ x 3″ piece of Designer Series Paper in half, then in half the opposite direction and folded each corner into the centre.
PS: As promised, I’m sharing my Lemon Loaf recipe with you – just click on the tab at the top of this page.
Supply List:
Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!

Tina, you make the best projects …. I'm a long-time card maker but I always learn a new trick from you as I watch your wonderful videos. I GREATLY enjoyed your video regarding the mixed media background! My favorite part of stamping is creating my own backgrounds and you certainly inspired me with this lovely creation! You've given me some great ideas for my future projects!
