Hi Friends! Here are a few of the cards that I made this month for members of my “Serene Stampers” community. I used a super fun background technique along with the new “Floral Essence” stamp set and the “Painted Glass” set for the sentiment.
To create the background, I inked my clear block using the new 2019 In Colours ink pads. Then I lightly misted the block with water and stamped it onto my card stock. The trick is to hold the inked block in place for a few moments, to give the paper a chance to absorb the ink and water.
Once the background was dry (sped up by using my heat tool), I used Black Stazon ink to stamp the flowers and sentiment. I wanted to ‘shimmerize” the cards to finish them, so I spritzed on a mixture of Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint and 70% Rubbing Alcohol.
