Hi Friends! I hope you had a nice weekend! Many of my Canadian friends got some snow over the weekend, but fortunately we didn’t get any here in Nova Scotia (whew!). Yesterday actually hit 18′ outside – it felt like we were in a Chinook, it was bizarrely warm. But today was another matter – cold and yes, a few snow flakes early this morning. Well, it is November after all. And Christmas is coming. I’m actually looking forward to the holiday season this year. I think it’s because we’ve not spend a Christmas in this house yet and it’s going to be soooo much fun to decorate! I’ve also gotten involved in our community “Christmas Tree Festival” and I’m in charge of decorating the trees! One tree will be raffled off, decorations and all, and the second tree will display all of the ornaments for sale. Proceeds from the entire event will go back into our community hall (which is gorgeous and sits right by the lake). So I need to get busy and get crafting!
Every project I post this month will be focused on handmade ornaments or gift items that you can use for your gift giving or decorating needs. The first ornament I’m sharing with you is so stinkin’ easy but so pretty too – it’s made with our fabulous Tree Punch. You can whip up a ton of these little trees in no time and use them to decorate your tree, embellish Christmas gifts, or even to use in holiday shadow boxes!
